Text
1.Except as provided in subsections 2 and 3, a psychologist shall not administer or
prescribe drugs or medicine.
2.A licensed psychologist holding a conditional prescription certificate may prescribe
psychotropic medication under the supervision of a licensed physician pursuant to this
chapter.
3.A prescribing psychologist may prescribe psychotropic medication pursuant to joint
rules adopted by the board of behavioral health professionals and the board of medicine and
the provisions of this chapter.
