1.Anemployershallnotdischargeanemployee, ortakeorfailtotakeactionregardingan employee’s promotion or proposed promotion, or take action to reduce an employee’s wages or benefits for actual time worked, due to the compliance of an employee with a quarantine or isolation order or voluntary confinement request issued by the department, a local board, or the centers for disease control and prevention of the United States department of health and human services.
2.Anemployeewhoseemployerviolatesthissectionmaypetitionthecourtforimposition ofaceaseanddesistorderagainsttheperson’semployerandforreinstatementtotheperson’s previous position of employment. This section does not create a private cause of action for relief of money damages.
