Text
The appropriate regulatory authority shall provide for the inspection of each food
establishment and food processing plant in this state in accordance with this chapter and
with rules adopted pursuant to this chapter in accordance with chapter 17A. A regulatory
authority may enter a food establishment or food processing plant at any reasonable hour
to conduct an inspection. The manager or person in charge of the food establishment or
food processing plant shall afford free access to every part of the premises and render all
aid and assistance necessary to enable the regulatory authority to make a thorough and
complete inspection. As part of the inspection process, the regulatory authority shall provide
