Text
As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:
1.“Department” means the department of inspections, appeals, and licensing.
2.“Director” means the director of the department of inspections, appeals, and licensing,
or the director’s designee.
3.“Phototherapy device” means a piece of equipment that emits ultraviolet radiation and
that is used by a health care professional in the treatment of disease.
4.“Tanning device” means any equipment that emits electromagnetic radiation with
wavelengths in the air between 200 and 400 nanometers and that is used for tanning of
human skin, such as tanning booths or tanning beds.
5.“Tanningfacility”meansalocation, place, area, structure, orbusiness, orapartthereof,
which provides access to a tanning device for compensation. “Tanning fa
