The State Board of Podiatry Examiners continued pursuant to Code Section 43-35-4 shall consist of four members. Any vacancy in office of such board resulting from expiration of term after this chapter becomes effective on July 1, 1994, shall be filled by appointment by the Governor and approval by the Senate for a term of three years. Three members shall be podiatrists and may be appointed from a list of at least three persons submitted to the Governor by the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association. The fourth member shall be appointed from the public at large and shall have no connection to the practice of podiatric medicine.
