Text

(a)The office shall formulate standards and regulations, or changes to such standards and regulations, for the safe assembly, disassembly, repair, maintenance, use, operation, and inspection of all amusement rides. The standards and regulations shall be reasonable and based upon generally accepted engineering standards, formulas, and practices pertinent to the industry. Formulation and promulgation of such standards and regulations shall be subject to Chapter 13 of Title 50, the "Georgia Administrative Procedure Act." It is recognized that risks presented to the general public by amusement rides which are frequently assembled and disassembled are different from those presented by amusement rides which are not frequently assembled and disassembled.
