Text
(1)The governing body of a recreation district shall be determined by ordinance of the municipality or county that created the district and must be either:
(a)A five-member or larger board of supervisors elected from among the residents of the district, or (b) The governing body of the municipality or county that created the district.
(2)(a) If the governing body is a board of supervisors, the ordinance must specify the date of the election and must provide that each property owner or resident in the district has the right to vote in the election. The ordinance may also provide for the staggering of terms of the supervisors.
