Text
The Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission shall develop a hunter safety course for juveniles who are at least 5 years of age but less than 16 years of age. The course must include, but is not limited to, instruction in the competent and safe handling of firearms, conservation, and hunting ethics. The course must be appropriate for the ages of the students. The course is voluntary and must be offered in each county in the state at least annually. The course is in addition to, and not in lieu of, the hunter safety course prescribed in s. 379.3581.
