It is a Level One violation under s. 379.401 for any person to hunt deer, or for any person to accompany another person hunting deer, during the open season for the taking of deer on public lands unless each person shall wear a total of at least 500 square inches of daylight fluorescent orange material as an outer garment. Such clothing shall be worn above the waistline and may include a head covering. The provisions of this section shall not apply to any person hunting deer with a bow and arrow during seasons restricted to hunting with a bow and arrow.
