Text
(a)The administrator and head of DSHA is the Housing Director, who must be a person qualified by training and experience to perform the duties of the office.
(1)The Housing Director is appointed, confirmed, and holds office as provided in § 10 of Article III of the Delaware Constitution.
(2)The Housing Director is to be paid an annual salary as determined by the General Assembly in the annual appropriations act.
(3)The Housing Director must obtain and retain residency in this State as provided in § 10 of Article III of the Delaware Constitution.
(b)In the event of the death, resignation, temporary incapacity or removal of the Housing Director, and prior to the appointment of a successor, the Governor may appoint any qualified employee of DSHA to serve as Acting Housing Director. T
