Text

(a)Recognizing that promoting global sustainability, which focuses on the long-term impacts of actions and policies on the environment, people, and communities, the General Assembly hereby establishes the Sustainable Delaware Commission. The Commission shall adopt a mission and goals to make the State sustainable in at least 2 respects: as an employer and entity, and in creating the infrastructure in Delaware to support voluntary sustainability among Delaware entities. The General Assembly further recognizes the role that sustainability initiatives can play in improving communities throughout Delaware in addition to serving as a tool for economic development.
