Text

(a)The House and the Senate shall each establish an Ethics Committee which shall have the responsibilities assigned in this section with respect to the enforcement of this chapter and such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the House or the Senate as the case may be. Each Ethics Committee may, upon the request of a member, provide a written advisory opinion as to the application of this chapter to a particular situation. Any member who acts in good faith in reliance upon any such written advisory opinion shall not be subject to any disciplinary proceeding by the respective House with respect to the matters covered by the advisory opinion provided there was a full disclosure to the Ethics Committee of all facts necessary for the opinion.
