Text
As used in this chapter:
(1)“Board” means the Board of Elevator Mechanics established in this chapter.
(2)“Division” means the Division of Professional Regulation.
(3)“Elevator mechanic” means an individual who is licensed by the Board to plan, estimate, layout, perform, or supervise the installation, erection, replacement, service, and repair of any elevator in any structure.
(4)“License” means the certificate issued by the Board.
(5)“Substantially related” means the nature of the criminal conduct for which the person was convicted has a direct bearing on the fitness or ability to perform 1 or more of the duties or responsibilities necessarily related to the work of an elevator mechanic.
(6)“Unlicensed practitioner” means any person who engages in the occupational practice of
