§ 917 — Definitions

For purposes of this subchapter, the following terms shall have the following meaning:

(1)“Consumer product” means any tangible personal property that is distributed in commerce and is normally used for personal, family, or household purposes, including a motor vehicle and any tangible personal property intended to be attached to or installed in any real property without regard to whether it is so attached or installed.
(2)“Guaranteed asset protection waiver” means a contractual agreement wherein a creditor agrees, with or without a separate charge, to cancel or waive all or part of the following: a. Amounts due on a borrower’s motor vehicle finance agreement in the event of a total physical damage loss or unrecovered theft of the motor vehicle, which agreement must be part of, or a s
