§ 7103 — Definitions

Delaware·Title 18·Part Insurance·Ch. 71 LONG-TERM CARE INSURANCE

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this chapter, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

(1)“Applicant” shall mean: a. In the case of an individual long-term care insurance policy, the person who seeks to contract for benefits; and b. In the case of a group long-term care insurance policy, the proposed certificate holder.
(2)“Certificate” shall mean, for the purposes of this chapter, any certificate issued under a group long-term care insurance policy, which policy has been delivered or issued for delivery in this State.
(3)“Commissioner” shall mean the Insurance Commissioner of this State.
