Text

(a)The Board shall be responsible for overseeing implementation of policies designed to accomplish the purposes set forth in § 9907 of this title and shall report to the Commission on its progress in an annual report. Its activities and responsibilities shall include:
(1)Developing a recruitment program for medical education in conjunction with local colleges and universities to encourage medical school applications from minorities and residents of rural counties and underserved areas of Delaware, in addition to other students interested in pursuing a medical education.
(2)Developing and maintaining statewide communications, publicity and marketing plans in cooperation with the Delaware Higher Education Office and other interested parties, which will promote awareness of the existence
