*NOTE: This section was created by emergency legislation that will expire on March 19, 2026.*
(1)The annual public space rental fee for a streatery permit shall be assessed at no more than $15 per square foot.
(2)District agencies shall begin enforcement activities relating to noncompliance with the Streatery Guidelines or applicable rules no sooner than January 15, 2026.
(1)It is the policy of the District to promote streateries, as streateries are a beneficial use of public space that create a more vibrant dining scene and support local businesses.
(2)In furtherance of the policy described in paragraph (1) of this subsection, the Public Space Committee may waive the following program requirements; provided, that the waiver would not create an undue risk to pedestrians or
