Text

(a)The state, acting by and in the discretion of the Commissioner of Housing, may enter into a contract with a nonprofit corporation, as defined in section 8-39, to provide financial assistance in the form of a state grant-in-aid to such corporation for the purpose of providing housing for homeless persons suffering from acquired immune deficiency syndrome or AIDS-related complex. Such financial assistance may be applied toward the cost of:
(1)Planning for the development of such housing;
(2)acquiring property to be used for such housing; and (3) repairing, rehabilitating or constructing such housing.
(b)The Commissioner of Housing, in consultation with the Commissioner of Public Health, shall adopt regulations in accordance with the provisions of chapter 54 to carry out the purposes o
