Text

Any municipality or other municipal corporation is hereby authorized, without limiting any provision in section 8-143, to do any and all things necessary to aid and cooperate in the planning and undertaking of an urban renewal project in the area in which such municipality or corporation is authorized to act, including the furnishing of such financial and other assistance as the municipality or public body is authorized by this chapter to furnish for or in connection with a redevelopment plan or redevelopment project, and including the entering into a written agreement fixing the assessment of real estate to be used for a rental housing project to be constructed in a redevelopment or urban renewal area pursuant to section 12-65.
