Text
The same fees as provided by law for witnesses in civil causes shall be paid out of the treasury of the municipality to any witnesses, except policemen, who attend and testify under the provisions of section 7-279, the amount of such fees to be certified by the mayor or clerk of such board to the proper auditing officers of the municipality. See Sec. 52-260 re witness fees.
