§ 7-233a — Legislative purpose and finding.
The purpose of this chapter is to permit municipal electric utilities in Connecticut to join together and form cooperative public corporations for the financing of the construction and acquisition of facilities for the purpose of furnishing efficient, low cost and reliable electric power in their areas of operation. The provisions of this chapter shall be deemed to apply to the acquisition, construction, reconstruction, operation, repair, extension or improvement of such facilities, or the acquisition of any interest therein or of any capacity thereof, by a separate legal entity created by concurrent resolutions of two or more municipal electric utilities as herein provided.
