Text
Any municipality may, by ordinance adopted by its legislative body or, where the legislative body is a town meeting, by the board of selectmen, authorize the parking authority of such municipality to (1) enforce the parking regulations of such municipality, and (2) receive the amount remitted to the municipality for parking regulations under subsection (b) of section 51-56a.

History: P.A. 24-40 replaced provision re any consolidated town and city that was consolidated in 1896, has a mayor and court of common council and population of more than 100,000 with provision re any municipality, deleted former Subdivs. (1) to (3), redesignated existing Subparas. (A) and (B) as new Subdivs. (1) and (2) and made conforming changes, effective July 1, 2024.
