(a)Two or more municipalities may jointly issue bonds from time to time at their discretion, subject to the approval of the legislative body of each municipality for the purpose of paying all or any part of the cost of any project or activity, including acquisition of necessary land and equipment therefor, entered into jointly. The municipalities may issue such types of bonds as they may determine, including, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, bonds payable as to principal and interest:
(1)From their revenues generally;
(2)exclusively from the income and revenues of a particular project; or (3) exclusively from the income and revenues of certain designated projects, whether or not they are financed in whole or in part from the proceeds of such bonds. Any such bonds may be
