(a)As used in this part:
(1)“Active tuberculosis” has the same meaning as provided in subdivision (1) of subsection (a) of section 19a-265 ;
(2)“Infectious tuberculosis” has the same meaning as provided in subdivision (2) of subsection (a) of section 19a-265 ; and (3) “Latent tuberculosis” means having a positive tuberculin skin test with no clinical, bacteriologic or radiologic evidence of active tuberculosis.
(b)Any person who has been committed to the custody of the Commissioner of Correction and remains in custody for a period of at least five consecutive days shall be tested to determine if such person has active tuberculosis or latent tuberculosis infection.
