Text

Notwithstanding any provision of the general statutes to the contrary, a constituent unit of the state system of higher education or an institution of the Connecticut State University System, may purchase, by negotiation, supplies, materials, equipment and contractual services, as defined in section 4a-50, for the constituent unit or institution, as appropriate, when the supplies, materials, equipment or contractual services (1) are required to implement a grant, contract or financial agreement between the constituent unit or institution, as appropriate, and the donor of funds or other things of value which are given with an obligation for service primarily to the donor by the constituent unit or institution, as appropriate and (2) are specified in such grant, contract or financial agreeme

History: P.A. 94-245 deleted provision limiting the authority of the constituent units to purchase to cases in which the amount to be purchased is estimated to be $20,000 or less and applied the section to institutions of the Connecticut State University System, effective June 2, 1994.
