(a)There is established a Continuing Legislative Committee on State Planning and Development, to consist of ten members, five to be members of the Senate, one of whom shall be the senate chairperson of the joint standing committee having cognizance of matters relating to state development, two of whom shall be appointed by the president pro tempore of the Senate, one of whom shall be appointed by the majority leader of the Senate and one of whom shall be appointed by the minority leader of the Senate, and five to be members of the House of Representatives, one of whom shall be the house chairperson of the joint standing committee having cognizance of matters relating to state development, two of whom shall be appointed by the speaker of the House of Representatives, one of whom shall be a

History: P.A. 77-614 replaced state planning council with secretary of the office of policy and management; P.A. 79-31 replaced separate references to senate and house committee on state development with references to senate chairman and house chairman of joint standing committee having cognizance of matters relating to state development; P.A. 93-196 reduced number of appointments by president pro tempore and speaker from three to two and added members appointed by majority and minority leaders of senate and house to committee, effective June 23, 1993.
