Text

The term of office of each officer appointed by the Governor or by the Governor by and with the advice and consent of the General Assembly or either branch thereof, unless otherwise provided by law, shall commence on the first day of July following his appointment, except that the term of office of the Governor's staff, executive secretary and clerk shall commence from the date of their respective appointments. See Sec. 4-6 re appointment and terms of department heads.
