§ 33-272 — Powers of corporation.
When such certificate is filed as aforesaid, the persons who have made, signed and acknowledged the same, and their successors, shall become a body politic and corporate by the name stated in such certificate; and such corporation shall have succession and possess the general powers conferred on corporations by section 33-1036, and shall also have power to take, by gift, grant or purchase, any estate, real or personal, for the use of, and as a residence for, the district superintendent or presiding elder of such district and his successors in office, and shall have power to sell and convey the same, and reinvest the proceeds thereof for a like purpose, with the approval of the annual conference having jurisdiction over the district, and under the direction of the trustees of the corporatio
