Text
The Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection is designated as the officer of the state to manage, administer and control funds appropriated by the General Assembly or authorized by the State Bond Commission to carry out the provisions of this chapter. No grant shall be made under this chapter if such grant, together with all grants awarded prior thereto, exceeds the amount of funds available therefor.

(1967, P.A. 57, S. 23; 1971, P.A. 872, S. 98; P.A. 11-80, S. 1.) History: 1971 act replaced commissioner of agriculture and natural resources with commissioner of environmental protection and deleted provision which had required that grants be made “only with the advice and consent of the commissioner”; Sec. 25-54x transferred to Sec. 22a-444 in 1983; pursuant to P.A. 11-80, “Commissioner of Environmental Protection” was changed editorially by the Revisors to “Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection”, effective July 1, 2011.
