Text

The Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection shall establish standards for two levels of modeling and mapping of the location in aquifers of well field areas, zones of contribution and recharge areas. Standards for mapping at level A shall be established by regulations adopted by the commissioner in accordance with the provisions of chapter 54, except that notice of intent to adopt such regulations shall be published on or before July 1, 1990, and shall be based on hydrogeological data of aquifer geometry, hydraulic characteristics and connection to surface water features, groundwater level data and surface water discharge information for model calibration and pump test data for model verification.
