Text
The Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection, within available resources, shall develop and implement a program to support solid waste reduction strategies that are consistent with the Comprehensive Materials Management Strategy, developed pursuant to section 22a-241a. Such waste reduction strategies may include, but shall not be limited to, solid waste diversion, unit-based pricing, organic materials diversion and reuse and recycling strategies.
