§ 19a-70 — (Formerly Sec. 19-28). Priority of distribution in emergency.

If the Department of Public Health finds that there is an epidemic of any disease within the state and that antitoxin or other biologic product is in short supply, the commissioner shall notify the Governor, who may proclaim that an emergency exists. On such declaration, the Governor shall appoint an advisory committee, consisting of the Commissioner of Public Health and such five other persons as the Governor deems advisable. The committee shall recommend to the Department of Public Health the priority of the supply, distribution and use of such biologic products in the interest of the health, welfare and safety of the people of the state.
