Text
To preserve vital records, the Commissioner of Public Health is authorized to prepare typewritten, photographic, electronic, or other reproductions of certificates or reports in the Department of Public Health. Such reproductions when certified by the commissioner shall be accepted as the original records. The documents from which permanent reproductions have been made and verified may be disposed of as provided by regulation. See Sec. 7-36 for applicable definitions.
