§ 19a-332e — Civil penalties. Regulations.

(a)If, upon review, investigation or inspection, the Commissioner of Public Health determines that any person has violated any provision of sections 19a-332 to 19a-332c, inclusive, 19a-333 and 20-435 to 20-439, inclusive, or any regulations adopted thereunder, he may impose a civil penalty not to exceed five thousand dollars upon a local education agency and not to exceed twenty-five thousand dollars upon any one person. Governmental immunity shall not be a defense to any civil penalty imposed pursuant to this section. The commissioner shall adopt regulations, in accordance with the provisions of chapter 54, establishing a schedule or schedules of the amounts, or the ranges of amounts, of civil penalties which may be imposed under this section.
