(a)Each emergency medical services council shall (1) forward to the Commissioner of Public Health the emergency medical services plan for its region, and (2) review and within sixty days forward to the commissioner, together with its recommendations, all grant and contract applications for federal and state funds pertaining to emergency medical services from the following entities within its region:
(A)A unit of local government, (B) a public entity administering a compact or other regional arrangement or consortium, or (C) any other public entity or any nonprofit private agency.
(b)The presidents, or their designees, of said councils shall meet as a group, at least bimonthly, with the Office of Emergency Medical Services to discuss the planning, coordination and implementation of the s
