Text
(a)Notwithstanding any provision of the general statutes or any regulation adopted thereunder, peer review materials or information produced in conformance with section 19a-17b, in any format or media, shall not be subject to disclosure pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act.
(b)The provisions of subsection (a) of this section shall not preclude the Department of Public Health from accessing such peer review materials or information in connection with any investigation or review by the department regarding the license of a health care provider, as defined in subsection (a) of section 19a-17b , provided the department does not disclose such materials or information to any person outside of the department, except as may be necessary to take disciplinary action against such health care
