§ 19a-12c — Professional assistance program account.

There is established an account to be known as the “professional assistance program account” which shall be a separate, nonlapsing account within the General Fund. The account shall contain any moneys required by law to be deposited in the account. Moneys in the account shall be paid by the Commissioner of Public Health to the assistance program for health care professionals established pursuant to section 19a-12a for the provision of education, prevention, intervention, referral assistance, rehabilitation or support services to health care professionals who have a chemical dependency, emotional or behavioral disorder or physical or mental illness. See Secs. 20-638 to 20-638c, inclusive, for similar provisions re pharmacists and pharmacy interns.
