§ 17b-92 — (Formerly Sec. 17-83c). Relocation adjustment payments and reimbursements for moving and relocation expenses not considered income, earnings, assets or rent.

(a)A relocation adjustment payment under Section 114 of the federal Housing Act of 1949, as amended, shall not be considered income, earnings, assets or rent in the determination of eligibility under any public assistance program provided, if a recipient of such assistance receives a relocation adjustment payment in excess of two hundred fifty dollars, the Commissioner of Social Services shall not be required to provide such recipient with similar assistance for moving expenses or other expenses directly related to relocation. In those instances where a recipient has received a relocation adjustment payment in excess of two hundred fifty dollars and has also been provided with similar assistance for moving expenses or other expenses directly related to relocation, under any public assista
