§ 17b-105f — Supplemental nutrition assistance employment and training program.

(a)The Department of Social Services shall administer a supplemental nutrition assistance employment and training program, authorized under the federal Food and Nutrition Act of 2008, as amended from time to time, to provide employment and training activities, support services and other programs and services for recipients of the supplemental nutrition assistance program. The program shall provide for the receipt of federal matching funds to the state from the United States Department of Agriculture for funds expended on behalf of supplemental nutrition assistance recipients by state agencies, local governments, nonprofit entities, institutions of higher education and other eligible supplemental nutrition assistance employment and training providers for employment and training activities
