§ 13a-175q — Local bridge program.
The establishment of a program for the removal, replacement, reconstruction, rehabilitation or improvement of local bridges is a matter of state-wide concern affecting the health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the state and of persons traveling within the state. It is the policy of the state to establish a timely and efficient method for municipalities to participate in this program and in furtherance thereof, sections 13a-175p to 13a-175u, inclusive, are intended to provide authority for municipalities to approve local bridge projects, and, in connection therewith, to authorize project agreements, and the issuance of supplemental project obligations.
