§ 13a-175e — Distribution of funds. Agreements for expenditure of funds.

(a) Said sums shall be distributed to each town under the provisions of this part, semiannually, one-half during July and one-half during January of each year, provided the amount of each such distribution shall be reduced proportionately in the event that the total of all such distributions exceeds the amount appropriated for the purposes of section 13a-175d. (b) Upon approval by the Governor of the annual appropriation act, a town may enter into agreements for the expenditure of funds allocated under sections 13a-175a , 13a-175d and 13a-175i , for construction, improvement or maintenance of highways or improvement or maintenance of dirt and unimproved roads, provided the cost of such construction, improvement or maintenance shall not exceed the sum to be distributed to such town, pursuant to this part during July of the fiscal year to which such appropriation act relates, and provided the terms of such agreements shall not require any payments to be made before July first of such fiscal year.
