Text
The commissioner may, if in his opinion it is equitable, grant a special permit for the operation of industrial trucks, tractors, trailers and semitrailers upon the highways of this state for the purpose of transporting goods, property or merchandise to and between buildings of the same industrial plant, provided the maximum distance on the highways over which such vehicle may be operated under such permit shall not exceed fifteen hundred feet, and may make necessary regulations as to their use thereon. See Sec. 14-24 re special registrations for heavy duty trailers, heavy construction equipment, etc. See Sec. 14-49(l) re fee for registration of trucks used between parts of industrial plants.
