Text
For purposes of this section and sections 10a-55a to 10a-55c, inclusive, and section 5 of public act 90-259*:
(1)“Institution of higher education” means a constituent unit of the state system of higher education, as defined in section 10a-1 , or an independent institution of higher education, as defined in subsection (a) of section 10a-173 .
(2)“Housing” means all residence halls and sorority and fraternity residences owned or under the control of an institution of higher education.
(3)“Employee” means a person who is employed by an institution of higher education and is not a student at such institution. *Note: Section 5 of public act 90-259 is special in nature and therefore has not been codified but remains in full force and effect according to its terms.
