Text
(a)The Commissioner of Higher Education may assess any person, school, board, association or corporation which violates any provision of section 10a-34, 10a-34g or 10a-35 an administrative penalty in an amount not to exceed five hundred dollars for each day of such violation.
(b)(1) The Commissioner of Higher Education shall serve written notice upon the person, school, board, association or corporation when the assessment of such an administrative penalty is under consideration. The notice shall set forth the reasons for the assessment of the penalty.
(2)Not later than forty-five days after the commissioner or the commissioner's designee mails notice pursuant to subdivision (1) of this subsection to such person, school, board, association or corporation, the commissioner or the commiss
