Text
(1)For the purpose of regulating and licensing the cultivation, manufacturing, testing,
storage, distribution, transport, transfer, and dispensation of natural medicine or
natural medicine product by and between natural medicine licensees in this state,
there is created the state licensing authority, which is the executive director, or the
director of the natural medicine division if designated by the executive director.
(2)The executive director is the chief administrative officer of the state
licensing authority and may employ, pursuant to section 13 of article XII of the state
constitution, such officers and employees as determined to be necessary. The
officers and employees are a part of the department.
