Text

(1)Notwithstanding any other provision of this article 32 to the contrary, the commission shall grant licenses to conduct the racing of standardbred harness horses pursuant to the provisions of this article 32 and in accordance with subsections (2) and (3) of this section.
(2)The licenses granted may be issued to conduct not more than three race meets in any one year at a racetrack specifically designed and used for the racing of no animals other than standardbred harness horses, but the race meets may not be held on the same dates as race meets authorized by the commission for animals other than standardbred harness horses that are held within forty miles of the track licensed for the racing of standardbred harness horses. In addition, licenses may be issued by the commission
