§ 44-20-109 — Temporary motor vehicle dealer license
(1)(a) If a licensed
motor vehicle dealer has entered into a written agreement to sell a dealership to a
purchaser and the purchaser has been awarded a new dealership franchise, the
board may issue a temporary motor vehicle dealer's license to the purchaser or
prospective purchaser. The director shall issue the temporary license only after the
board has received the applications for both a temporary motor vehicle dealer's
license and a motor vehicle dealer's license, the appropriate application fee for the
motor vehicle dealer's application, evidence of a passing test score, and evidence
that the franchise has been awarded to the applicant by the manufacturer.
(b)A temporary motor vehicle dealer's license authorizes the licensee to act
