Text
(1)The state or any county, municipality as
defined in section 31-1-101 (6), C.R.S., or other governmental entity of the state may
execute a contract or contracts for the removal, storage, or disposal of abandoned
motor vehicles within the area of its authority to effectuate the provisions of this
part 18.
(2)The provisions of this part 18 may be superseded by ordinance or
resolution of a municipality, as defined in section 31-1-101, C.R.S., or any county that
sets forth procedures for the removal, storage, and disposal of abandoned or
illegally parked motor vehicles on public property; except that such ordinance or
resolution shall not deprive an operator of a lien attached and perfected under this
part 18.
