Text

(1)Every authorized agent, on or before the fifteenth day of each calendar month, shall transmit to the department all fees and money collected by the agent under articles 1 to 4 (except part 3 of article 2) of this title 42 during the preceding calendar month, except such sums as are specifically authorized to be retained by the authorized agent.
(2)The authorized agents shall deposit all money received in the administration of any motor vehicle license law with the county treasurers of their respective counties and take a receipt. The authorized agent shall deposit the money in a separate fund administered by the county treasurers, and the authorized agents are not liable for the safekeeping of the funds after depositing them.
