Text
As used in this part 4 and part 5 of this article, unless the context otherwise requires:
(1)Carrier means any person transporting goods or property on the public
roads of this state in, to, from, or through this state, whether or not such
transportation is for hire.
(2)Repealed.
(3)(a) Nuclear materials means highway route controlled quantities of
radioactive materials as defined in 49 CFR 173.403 (l).
(b)Nuclear materials does not include nuclear materials used for research
or medical purposes within Colorado. For the purpose of this paragraph (b), highway
route controlled quantities of radioactive materials used to irradiate medical
supplies and equipment are not considered to be used for medical purposes.
